Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 Oct 2026

Your CV is shared only with employers you apply to, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what HireMe collects, who can see it, and the choices you have.

1.Who we are

HireMe is a job board for Fiji, run by DuttMarketing, based in Fiji. You can reach us on +679 836 3603 (call or WhatsApp) or at hello@hiremefiji.com.

2.What we collect

Your account: your name, email address and password, and when you confirmed you’re 18 or older and agreed to our Terms of Use and this policy. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider in a protected (hashed) form, so we can’t see it.

If you sign in with Google: Google shares your name and email address with us (and your profile photo, which we don’t use). We never see your Google password, and we don’t get anything else from your Google account.

If you’re looking for work: anything you add to your profile, such as your photo, job title, current employer, location, phone number, LinkedIn link, summary, work history, education, licences and skills. We also store the CV, certificates and cover letters you upload, and the jobs you apply to and save.

If you’re hiring: your company’s details, logo and cover image, the jobs you post, how you move applicants through each stage, and any private notes you write about applicants.

Payments: the plan you choose, the amount, how you paid (for example bank transfer) and the payment reference. We don’t collect or store card numbers.

Technical information: small cookies that keep you signed in, and basic technical logs kept by our hosting providers to run and protect the site. We don’t use advertising cookies or ad trackers.

Visit counts: we count how many people view each job and tap Apply, without cookies. To count each visitor once a day, we turn their internet address and browser type into a scrambled code that changes every day, can’t be turned back into the address and isn’t linked to an account. These codes are deleted after 2 days; we keep only the totals. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for cookieless counts of visits to the public pages (not the signed-in areas, and never what you type into a search).

3.How we use it

  • To run HireMe: your account, profile, job listings and applications
  • To share your application with the employer you apply to
  • To show you updates on your applications
  • To process listing payments
  • To keep HireMe safe: preventing scams, fake jobs and misuse
  • To show employers how their listings are doing (views, apply clicks, applications and saves, as numbers only, never who)
  • To contact you about your account or applications
  • To email you new jobs in the categories you choose, daily or weekly, but only if you turn on job alerts (they’re off unless you do)

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t show ads.

4.Who can see your information

Your profile: you choose who can see it. Hidden means only you. Signed-in only means employers with a HireMe account. Public means anyone with the link, including search engines. Signed-in only and Public profiles can be found in People search (by name and job title); Hidden profiles never are. New profiles start hidden.

Your CV and documents: only employers you apply to can see them. They see the version you sent when you applied, not any CV you upload later.

Your phone and email: only employers you’ve applied to can see them, while your application is active.

If you withdraw an application: that employer can no longer open your CV, documents, cover letter or full profile on HireMe. They only see your name and that you withdrew. If they downloaded your CV before you withdrew, that copy is outside our control.

Employer notes: private to that company and HireMe admins. Job seekers never see them.

Jobs you apply for outside HireMe: some jobs say “Apply on company website” or “Apply by email”. What you send there goes straight to that employer, not through HireMe, and their own privacy practices apply.

HireMe admins: a small team can access accounts to give support, check for misuse, and handle disputes. Every admin action is recorded in a log that can’t be edited.

5.Photos

When you upload a profile photo, logo or cover, we resize it and remove its hidden photo data (including the location where it was taken) before it’s saved.

6.Where your information is stored

We use trusted providers to run HireMe. Your information may be stored outside Fiji, mainly in Australia.

  • Supabase: our database, file storage and sign-in (servers in Sydney, Australia)
  • Vercel: website hosting and cookieless visit counts (Vercel Web Analytics)
  • Resend: sending our emails (account, application, listing and job alert emails)
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: checking that sign-up, log-in and password reset requests come from a real person, not a bot
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google

7.How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. Files sent with an application are kept so the employer’s record stays accurate, but are hidden from employers once you withdraw.

8.Your choices

  • Change your profile visibility at any time
  • Edit or update your profile, CV and details
  • Withdraw an application
  • Turn job alert emails on or off, or change what they include, in Job alerts. Every alert email also has an Unsubscribe link that works without logging in
  • Turn application and applicant emails off in Account settings. Emails about your account and listings are always sent
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it
  • Delete your account anytime from Account settings

9.Keeping it secure

We use strict access rules so people only see what they’re allowed to, and connections to HireMe are encrypted. No website can promise perfect security, so please keep your password private.

10.Age

You must be at least 18 years old to use HireMe.

11.Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and let you know on the site.
